Overview

Manual handling operations are one of the most common causes of injury at work and cause over one third of all workplace injuries. These include work related Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) such as upper and lower limb pain/disorders, joint and repetitive strain injuries. Indeed, manual handling training is now likely to be compulsory training in any workplace expecting staff members to lift inanimate objects as part of their job role.
